Chiara Briganti, Michelle Jarvis, Brigitta Rossetti

 

Chiara Briganti (Montpellier, 1921), by French origins, has always lived in Italy, where she has dealt with History of Art, pictorial restoration, Interior Design, and taking care of the whole recover of the artistic heritage  and furnishings of the Palazzo del Quirinale. The first attempts of “mise-en-boîtes” date back to 1978: her “magic boxes” are housed in both personal and collective Exhibitions, in Italy and abroad, in Museums and private collections. 

Since 1989 she has been Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

Michelle Jarvis (Sheffield, 1959), studies Fashion and Textile at the St.Martins’ School of Art of London and after various working experiences in New York, comes to Milan where she has worked many years in the field of fashion and design. From the very beginning of the Nineties she starts a personal artistic research experimenting with felt, wool and silk and creates her own language as well. Her works have been shown in various Art Galleries in Milan and London.

Brigitta Rossetti (Piacenza, 1974), graduated in Modern Literature and she specialized in Multimedia Communication and Digital Graphics; she integrates this knowledge with poetry, painting and installation creating a very original research path. She took part to various international workshops, among them the most relevant ones are Painting is Liberty with the Chinese Zhou Brothers, Medien Arbeiten with the Polish video artist Anna Konik and Skulptur Warum? with the German sculptress and performer Asta Gröting, all of them at the Internazionale Akademie fûr bildende Kunst of Salzburg. She has published four monographic catalogues and her works are to be found in several Museums and Art Galleries; at the moment she has been working between Milan and Chicago where she owns a personal studio and she is to be mentioned among the 50 resident artists of the Zhou Brothers Art Center. Since 2012 she has been part of Sergio Gomez’s teamwork, curator of the 33 Contemporary Art Gallery of Chicago.
